Katy and the Wolves at the Door: A Mail Order Husband Book (Mail Order Bride 3) by Mary Criswell-Carpenter (Goodreads Author) 45188393 Andreas Laurencius's review Apr 15, 2016 it was amazing Katy and The Wolves at the Door builds a beautiful imagery in my mind about the wild, wild west and the relationships between the people. Hands down, it was beautiful. And it wasn't even the best part of this book. The compromise made by Luke Short and the Sheriff about the bars and brothels and the gambling nature of men, the chicken and the wolves and the door between Katy and the barn Jake was taking care of, and the noble friendship between Jake and his pal were just three of the many morals I learned from this book. I have found a new favorite now. I am not a fan of a conventional marriage, but after reading this, I now don't think it's such a bad idea.
