Katy is a young widow living on the Kansas Prairie alone with her two daughters. She has to find a way to support her family, farm her land, and keep her homestead, a daunting task for a pioneer woman that was raised in the comfort of St. Louis. There are no conveniences on the Frontier; every day is a struggle for survival. The predator wolves are just as bad as the predatory people! Katy is advised to advertise for a husband. Things get wild as Katy’s plight is spread across the Prairie and men come to call on the lonely, attractive, and home-owning widow! More than one man has his eye on Katy and her farm, but the one she is most interested in isn’t interested at all!
Next Month I will publish a new, exciting Cowboy Romance in the ebook and paperback formats. I am currently working on three titles/manuscripts and haven’t determined which will be the object of my focus. You can be assured, however, it will be historically accurate and a fun and informative read.
I think accurate historical fiction is an opportunity to learn while enjoying a cowboy romance. Too often I have read books so full of anachronisms that I didn’t enjoy the story because of the distraction made by the inaccurate historical content. That is one of my driving factors as an author.
The most important motivating factor for me as a writer is the tell the stories of our unsung heroes. I want the stories of our relatives and ancestors to be retold so they will be honored and remembered.
It’s never too late for happily ever after
